Operational Due Diligence Analyst, Singapore

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-profile consultancy firm in the alternative investments industry within the Operational Due Diligence (ODD) team in Singapore. Working on behalf of institutional investors, Albournes ODD Team is responsible for conducting operational risk analysis on a range of alternative investment products, focusing particularly on hedge fund and private market investment structures. We are currently hiring for an **Analyst - Operational Due Diligence **whose role will be to conduct ODD on the most complex managers with high report quality output and mínimal supervision; to independently contribute outside of report writing to internal & client content and to assist in monitoring, mentoring & reviewing other Analysts & Associate Analysts.

**Job Summary & Purpose**:

- To conduct ODD with high report quality output and mínimal supervision.
- To independently contribute outside of report writing to internal & client content.
- To assist in monitoring, mentoring & reviewing other team members.
- Review and publish peer reports as applicable.
- To contribute to the development of Albournes ODD services as well as future new initiatives

**Responsibilities**:
**Analytical Skills**
- Superior ability to evaluate the most complex regional alternative investment fund managers. Focus would include an analysis of operational risk, internal controls and information system, examination of documentation, and review of staff and structure.
- High level of knowledge about finance and the alternatives industry
- Monitor assigned funds and update written reports to reflect pertinent changes to the operations for those funds, in line with expectations for the role.
- Prepare high quality, clear, accurate, concise reports, and recommendations to clients, in line with client and management deadlines, and expectations for the role.

**Project Management**
- Initiate and run ODD projects

**People Mentoring**
- Assist Team Leader in reviewing reports
- Demonstrate leadership in mentoring and training Analysts & Associate Analysts.

**Client Service**
- Provide accurate, timely and insightful responses to client ODD inquiries.
- Develop relationships with local (and visiting) prospects and clients to support business development activities.
- Attend local industry events as an ambassador for Albourne.

**Thought Leadership**
- Assist in developing and implementing company best practices with respect to ODD.
- Develop a network to stay current on industry standards and help to facilitate knowledge transfer within the ODD group and company.
- Contribute ideas for client newsletter and intranet.

**Requirements**:

- 4+ yrs relevant work experience, with knowledge or experience of alternative investment manager operations/fund administration/prime brokerage/audit/legal/compliance/technology
- Knowledge of Asian ODD, or strong potential/interest to develop such
- Strong written communication skills
- Relevant professional qualifications (CFA, CAIA, CPA, ACCA) would be a plus
- Proactive self-starter, proficient time management and multi-tasking
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
- Systems literacy (MS suite)
- Travel (frequent)
- Comply with terms of Albourne Compliance Manuals
- Abide by the ODD policies and procedures as well as the Albourne Groups policies and procedures, including, but not limited to IFFM; compliance reporting; Information, Communications & Cyber Security Policy; Expense & Travel Policy, etc.
- Regulatory registration (dependent on regional requirements)
- Report potential conflicts to compliance and work with compliance to ensure that conflict disclosures appear on research reports.
