Ensure all crewing staff are qualified and competent seafarers that adhere to clients' requirements and company policy
- Verify crews' certificate of authenticity to ensure that the crews’ medical and certifications comply to the Maritime legislative bodies prior to engagement of services. I.e GOC, COC etc
Monitor closely existing Marine Crew Change schedule and propose timely replacement
- Ensure proper file maintenance and records of Seafarers personnel of new and existing staff
- Regularly track crewing staff’s performance for appraisal purposes. Recommend promotion, demotion, re-designation or transfer of crew when and as appropriate
- Propose and arrange the most economical, efficient and expeditious transfer of seafarers from their place of domicile to the Vessel and vice-versa.
- Liaise with Overseas Agents for Crew Sign-On/ Off
- Ensure that the seafarer has undergone a systematic scheduled and comprehensive on-boarding induction.
- Execute disembarkation / repatriation / transfer whichever applicable and maintain a direct contact with the Vessel Masters and Shipping Agents with regards to vessel schedule for effective Crew change date.
- Keep all the relevant parties informed and updated of seafarers’ movement
- Track and oversee vessel spending on crew manpower to ensure that costs is within stipulated budget
- Arrange transportation commute for crews embarkation /& disembarkation
- Arrange accommodation for all Offshore Crews
- Mobilize and demobilize Crews according to Crew rotational matrix.
- Updating records for Flag state Requirements
- Perform verification of monthly payroll summary reports for approval and payment purposes.
- Liaise with payroll personnel for recoupment and reimbursement matters
- Make arrangement for Crew to attend courses in our in-house EMAS Academy Singapore when approval is obtained by Fleet Manager.
