**The Position**

We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Contracts Management to join BW Offshore. This role will be based in our Singapore office.

**You are responsible for**
- Provide leadership, coaching and supervision to functional CM staff, ensuring their appraisals, development and training and foster a collaborative environment with Supply Chain team members and and all involved stakeholder
- Plan, organize, direct and control the Contract Management function and ensure best possible allocation of the right resources for the right task/opportunities within the contracting function to support the Prospects, FEEDs, Projects and corporate activities
- Lead Projects, where required, manage key contracts and follow it through to completion
- Manage and oversee the execution of contracting activities (Pre
- and Post-award) conducted by the function, including but not limited to sourcing, tendering, evaluation, award, contract and quantity management, claims and close out
- Perform senior level claim review, evaluation, negotiation and settlements for key contracts
- Develop and implement contracting plans to ensure alignment with the needs of the respective Prospect, FEEDs or Projects
- Implement client contract requirements and ensure client flow down provisions are incorporated into tenders, contracts and contracting plans
- Perform compliant contracting activities, for Prospects, FEEDs and Projects in accordance with the contracting practices and standards published in the Company Management System and the established contracting plans
- Perform contracting duties including key responsibility for negotiations, trouble shooting and act as escalation point for issues between the functional staff and various stake holders and contractors
- Ensure that all required contractors are prequalified according to the relevant procedures
- Provide regular status and progress reporting to clients, projects and management
- Build in-depth knowledge about the market including contractors, cost drivers and risks as well as BWO requirements for key categories, such as Topside/Hull Engineering, Hull Fabrication Yards and Topside Module Fabrication Yards and actively provide input to the relevant Business Opportunity Managers and other colleagues as required
- In cooperation with the Sourcing Analyst drive and build up business intelligence for the relevant markets, cost drivers and categories
- Develop sourcing strategies and establish Frame Agreements for key categories as necessary to streamline time-to-market and optimize solutions for prospects, FEEDs, and projects
- Conduct contract risk assessment for key categories and develop contract claims prevention strategies
- Ensure involvement of Legal, Project Services, Cost Controllers, Insurance, Finance, HSEQ and other departments in the contracting activities where required. Develop fall back positions for commercial clauses.Work closely with Legal to ensure risk reward is balanced optimally for all relevant contracts

**Education And Experience**
- Possess a relevant degree or equivalent experience
- A Legal degree or background would be a strong advantage
- Ideally ten (10) years of relevant experience, primarily in the area of contracting
- Substantial experience in the technical, contractual and commercial issues related to design, engineering, fabrication and constructions contracts for Offshore Facilities (e.g. FPSO, Wellhead Platforms, Deck Fabrication, Jacket Fabrication, Topsides Fabrication and the like) for the Oil and Gas industry
- Substantial experience in claims management, claims prevention such as Extension of Time Claims, Disruption claims and/or Quantum claims
- Quantity Surveyor background is an advantage
- International experience in offshore oil and gas industry is a must
- Experience with IFS, SharePoint and other IT systems is an advantage
