The JP Customer Growth and Engagement team works to help customers discover the best of Amazon Prime using data and insights to invent, test, and scale programs that drive Prime growth and member engagement. We also invent on behalf of the customers ML-driven marketing programs that help new-to-Amazon customers enjoy a seamless onboarding, product discovery and shopping experience, and create an end-to-end flywheel of customer engagement starting from the moment a customer comes to.co.jp. /shopping app.

Within JP, we are seeing a growing trend in Social Shopping, and are seeking a Senior Product Manager to create vision, strategy and product/experimentation roadmap to build on-site Social Shopping experiences that create sticky community and a sense of belonging with our customers and help customers to discover new products through new journeys/experiences that are engaging and psychologically rewarding.

Given this is a new/experimental area not only in Amazon but also in JP market overall, we are looking for a seasoned thought leader in product who can identify and digest ambiguous/forming customer needs, working backwards to form hypothesis and formulate two-way door tests to validate hypothesis, and create product roadmap from scratch to accelerate innovation in this area. We are seeking someone who's a bold trail blazer, not afraid of rolling up his/her sleeves to dive deep while also being able to level up insights to strategic level proposals at the senior leadership level. Together with a diverse group of stakeholder and partner teams, this role would be leading the village in pushing boundaries of what online shopping means in Japan.

Key job responsibilities
To make an impact as a Senior Product Manager in charge of creating vision and roadmap for new Social Shopping experiences on.co.jp and shopping app, you will prioritize and drive efforts to better understand customer needs, form hypothesis and make judgment calls on two-way door experiments to validate hypothesis, level up learnings and insights into strategic proposal at the senior leadership level and rally support from a diverse group of stakeholder and partner teams to create something that is pushing the frontier of shopping experience in Japan.

**Specifically, key responsibilities include**:

- Prioritize and drive customer and competitor studies to form hypothesis of potential experiences to create on.co.jp/shopping app
- Create experimentation roadmap to validate above hypothesis and build data/insights for multi-year platform and experience product roadmaps with resourcing proposals
- Level up above roadmaps into strategic vision documents that rally support at senior leadership level
- Dive deep into customer data and insights and be the topic expert on Social Shopping in Japan and rally support with tech, marketing, Seller Services and category team partners to launch experiments to quickly build up knowledge reservoir of customer tendencies and behavior
- Be an advocate for Social Shopping at global forums and share learnings with WW marketplaces to create synergy between visions and plans
- Experience working in an agile and fast-moving environment
- Experience working with customer-facing, front-end products
