**Position Purpose**:
The RISK ORC GM APAC team is acting as the 2nd Line of Defence for all front to end GM activities carried out in the region with the key role to provide relevant RISK and Metier senior management transparent, exhaustive, and consistent front to end view of Operational RISK across regional activities.

The Operational Risk Analyst/Manager is acting as the 2nd Line of Defence for GM.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist and advise the 1st Line of Defence in Region & Countries on the extension of Operational Risk (OR) framework, and ensure its compliance with Group & CIB guidelines (as well as its appropriate calibration to manage key risk areas) in liaison with relevant RISK ORM APAC regional / territory teams and RISK ORM CIB & Group central teams
- Define and roll out the independent testing plan to review and identify any potential weakness in the workflow
- Contribute RISK ORM GM opinions to Metier Approval Committees (such as TACNACs or L/ROMC) and transformative projects (EMDEN, Territory Growth Plan, etc)
- Analyse, review, and validate OR on Metiers activities operating in the region on a regular basis (e.g. HI, PI, oversight reviews, RCSAs, controls, etc ) and remediation plans
- Ensure, the production of a synthetic, comprehensive, and actionable reporting by Pole-Metier in the region, its consistency across the RISK ORM community, and its availability to relevant levels of management (within RISK, Metiers & Functions, Territories), to appropriate committees (e.g. ICC), and to external parties where needed (incl. Regulators)
- Proactively disseminate OR culture (Group & CIB) within the regional community, contribute to LoD1 training, and develop a strong partnership with LoD1 key stakeholders
- Contribute to RISK ORM Group & CIB global initiatives (e.g. projects)

**Competencies (Technical / Behavioural)**

Background:

- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Global Markets processes and products
- Sensitivity and/or experience in operational risk
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements

Soft skills:

- Analytical skills & synthesis ability
- Strong interpersonal skills (communication, negotiation, influencing skills)
- Fluent English

**Specific Qualifications Required**
- University graduate with 10 years of relevant experience in GM businesses, risk management, control function. Relevant experience in consulting or audit background would be appreciated.
- Prior experience or practical understanding in previous roles may include but not limited to Front/Middle/Back Office, Operations or Functional role(s).
- Knowledge of key applicable regulatory requirements would be an advantage
