**Position Summary**:
The **Chief Human Resource Officer **is a strategic, result-oriented thought partner for the organization responsible for overseeing and managing labour relations, employee engagement that aligns with the company’s mission, vision, core values, and short-and long-term goals. The **CHRO **plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with employment laws, cultivating positive labour relations, and promoting a culture that encourages collaboratives management-employee relationships.
Further areas of responsibility include recruitment, benefits, payroll, time and leave, human resources information systems, learning and development. This position requires the highest degree of confidentiality, skill, sound judgement and attention to detail.
**Chief Human Resource Officer**
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide advice and guidance to managers and staff on broad array of human resource matters including recruitment, leave, benefits, compensation, disciplinary and employee relations, performance reviews, and employee development;
- Plan and implement professional development and employee relations programs that help the company improve service and increase employment engagement;
- Design and develop innovative practices to improve effectiveness and customer service by utilizing technology and efficient business processes;
- Provide support for inclusion and diversity initiatives;
- Develop, lead, and mentor HR staff, creating an office that is a model of customer service, competency, and innovation;
- Develop effective and strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Excellent pitch and negotiation skills with the ability to secure high-profile talent within remuneration budgets and timelines;
- Conduct compensation reviews/analysis to ensure internal and market equity and work with departmental leadership in creating comprehensive compensation plans; including managing senior management compensation plans;
- Work with department finance to manage salary roster process and ensure all positions, vacancies and promotions/salary increases and salary allocations are implemented in alignment with the budget and in a fair and equitable fashion;
- Oversees and/or conduct exit interviews and follows up as appropriate. Discusses data from exit interviews with Senior Leaders to make recommendations to the CEO for corrective actions and continuous improvement;
- Supervise and delegate responsibilities to HR staff, ensuring efficient workflow and goal attainment;
- Perform other related tasks as identified by the CEO.
**Job Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management / Business Administration / Law or related disciplines; Senior professional certification in HR is an added advantage;
- Have at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resource Management;
- Strong leadership and business acumen with at least five years’ experience in managing and developing a team;
- Demonstrated experience in implementing global policies and practices with a local context;
- Prior experience utilizing HRIS software and navigating HR systems;
- High level oral and written communication skills;
- Fluency in reading, writing, drafting documents essential;
- Ability to take responsibility for, and ownership of your work, with an attention to details;
- Flexible team player with strong organizational skills, tenacity, initiative and decision-making abilities;
- Ability to effectively prioritize a diverse and constant work flow so that internal stakeholder needs are satisfied;
- Excellent knowledge of employment laws in Singapore;
- Confidence and ability to communicate and advise all levels of the business up to and including the CEO and Board of Directors;
- Proven ability to influence others and drive meaningful and continuous improvements;
- An ability to provide pragmatic and commercial solutions to problems.
