Team Leader, Housekeeping

Reporting to the Senior Team Leader, Housekeeping, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and directing the day-to-day operations of Housekeeping, and assisting in the forward planning of the department.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Assign work to team members under his/her supervision.
- Monitor his/her team members to ensure residents receive prompt and courteous service.
- Inform the relevant departments (eg. Front Office, Engineering and Laundry of Housekeeping matters) to ensure accurate room status.
- Schedule routine inspections to all housekeeping areas including occupied and non-occupied rooms.
- Inspect guest rooms on a regular basis to ensure furnishing and facilities are clean and in good repair, and are maintained and replaced when required.
- Maintain a steady flow of communication within the department.
- Assist in supervising external contractors to ensure contractual compliance.
- Monitor and ensure consumption of guest supplies are under control.
- Assist in monitoring Housekeeping procedures including lost and found, key control, security and emergency procedures, health and safety for colleagues and guests.
- Work with the Executive Housekeeper on routine cleaning programs including spring cleans, etc.
- Assist with planning for future staffing needs and conducting recruitment.
- Assist with conducting training programmes for Department.
- Assist with conducting probation and annual appraisals in line with company guidelines.
- Coach, counsel and discipline colleagues to enhance performance.
- Establish a productive work schedule in line with Singapore's labour laws.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum GCE “N” levels.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity from a luxury hotel background.
- Good verbal and excellent communication skills.
