**Data Protection Manager**:
**APAC Data Protection Manager - Your Future Position?**

Protecting personal data and managing them within a complex framework of changing international rules is an essential concern for an international company like Givaudan. Givaudan is looking for a APAC Data Protection Manager based in our corporate office in Singapore. You will report to the Data Protection Officer based in Europe.

As an APAC Data Protection Manager you will work on the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Givaudan's Global Data Protection Strategy to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and best practices with a focus on Asian-Pacific laws and regulations.

You will work with multiple different internal and external stakeholders, including Compliance, Legal, Information Technology/Security, Human Resources, Communications, local teams, and data protection authorities, external law firms and our clients. This position requires acquiring a CIPP/A (or equivalent) certification within one year of employment which is sponsored by Givaudan.

**In this exciting role based in Singapore, you will**:

- Ensure compliance with fast-changing laws and regulations with non-European regions (APAC) observing Givaudan's global compliance strategy
- Manage the data protection platform and provide formal compliance reporting to the Data Protection Officer
- Monitor compliance of Givaudan's activities with the Global Privacy Programme its underlying procedures and with applicable laws and regulations and work with the Data Protection Officer to create regional strategy
- Maintain internal registers of processing activities in the region
- Undertake full assessment of global and regional projects involving the processing of personal data, including the review of contractual documentation and where applicable the conduct of different privacy assessments
- Collaborate on developing training material with relevant stakeholders to maintain a high
- level awareness of applicable privacy and data protection laws and policies throughout APAC region
- Manage privacy tasks of local Data Protection Coordinators and external partners
- Conduct and manage Global Privacy assessments under the European GDPR regulation.

**Your professional profile includes**:

- At least a Bachelor of law university degree
- Qualified in CIPP certification (such as CIPP/A, CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT) is beneficial
- 10 years of work experience, of at least 5 years' experience driving a data protection programme within an international environment
- In-depth knowledge of privacy trends in the region
- Fluency in English
- In-depth knowledge of the OneTrust privacy software
- Hands-on, achiever and skilled in planning
- Ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders at different levels of the organization
- Excellent administrative skills
