**SUMMARY
As a Data Protection Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring that our services in Singapore adhere to government regulations and ethical standards. Along with assessing financial risks and creating a game plan to handle those potential issues, you are required to possess strong understanding of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and able to drive PDPA compliance and risk management within the organization.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Review and update the Data Protection related policies and procedures, and conduct assessments to identify and address potential risks according to the company’s procedures to ensure compliance with the PDPA;
- Suggest appropriate measures to manage risks during the collection, use, storage and disclosure of personal data;
- Review existing contracts with data intermediaries, both locally and outside Singapore, if applicable;
- Monitor updates as well as consistent adherence to local data protection policies and procedures;
- Develop/ review the Company’s **_Data Breach Management Plan _**, including the **_formation the Data Breach Committee _**and the setting up the process of complaint handling;
- Manage and report any breaches according to the data breach management plan, including incident response, notifications of affected individuals, investigations and closure;
- Maintain logs of external queries and complaints and resolve any disputes by escalating to the right personnel for their response and remedy;
- **_R _**_eview the Company’s Code of Conduct _**(pertaining to data protection) to ensure that the employees are fully aware of their responsibilities towards data protection;
- Schedule and conduct regular training for the employees to give an overview of data protection principles and the policies adopted by the Company; and
- Assist the Head of PDPA Services in servicing external client projects. This will include the preparation of data inventory map and various policies to ensure compliance with PDPA. Alongside, regular refresher trainings would also need to be provided to the clients.

**ESSENTIAL QUALITIES**
- At least a Degree in any discipline
- Relevant certifications in data protection
- In-depth understanding of Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (ACT 26 of 2012) and Personal Data Protection Regulations 2012 with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience within the field
- Experience with Data Protection Trustmark consultancy / certification would be an advantage
- Understanding of GDPR would be an advantage
- Tech-savvy, with some knowledge in information security
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail with clarity in understanding of data protection requirements and ability to influence others to foster a culture of data protection security
- Ability to strive in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment requiring a high degree of flexibility whilst retaining business discipline
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional organizational and time-management skills
