- ROLE SUMMARY
- A unique opportunity to create and shape an industry leading eB2B technology platform. This role will offer an opportunity to grow that is unique in the industry
- The Chief Architect is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders to create compelling technology architecture and roadmaps that can power the grow eB2B marketplace to €10bn+ GMV. Operating at this scope and scale across 10+ markets requires an incredibly robust and comprehensive architecture
- This role serves as a hands-on trusted advisor to the technology leadership team, using strong interpersonal skills, functional and/or technical knowledge, eCommerce product knowledge, industry experience and knowledge of the business to deliver a future fit and industry leading digital and ecommerce focused marketplace technology chassis
- You will be proficient at analysing issues and obstacles to determine root cause(s), weighing options, choosing appropriate courses of action, and measuring and revising strategy based on results. This role interacts with both business, technical and Data & Analytics colleagues as well as partner teams to understand requirements, analyse information, and design comprehensive solutions.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assess business requirements and work closely with Technology leadership to provide long-term functional solutions
- Drive functional requirements and eCommerce best practices adoption
- Author & review functional specification documentation for implementation project teams
- Author & review long term technology roadmap. Generate buy in from all relevant stakeholders and ensure progress against roadmap is on track
- Help ensure the business is able to consistently meet / exceed our growth goals and metrics
- Deliver high retailer satisfaction (CSAT)
- Contribute to eCommerce and marketplace thought leadership at Gro
- Generate positive feedback from internal teams and leadership
- Show continued professional growth and development
- KEY REQUIREMENTS:

- To be successful in this role you will be a Senior Architect / Senior Software engineer with proven experience working on Digital Transformation programmes for Online, Digital, Retail, E-commerce type organisations (ideally B2B/ Marketplace).
- 8/10+ years of relevant experience, including enterprise-level engagements
- Good team player that can work effectively with peers across functions
- Excellent analytical skills and high aptitude with ability to learn quickly
- Experience architecting high volume ecosystems on Magento or other eCommerce product are a major advantage
- Experience with Web/Mobile, Digital technology, Customer domain and ideally Cloud.
- Ability to communicate very complex and intricate technology decisions in a clear and transparent way that can be consumed by non technical audiences
- Deep experience of leading Agile delivery
- Formal Computer Science education at Degree or higher level
