**Job Summary**:
Assist Restaurant Manager in driving overall performance of the restaurant in sales and profitability while complying with A&W’s Quality, Service, Cleanliness, Safety and People (QSCSP) standard.

Other duties include receiving orders, banking, tracking daily sales and labour costs, performing food audits, maintaining housekeeping standards and providing employee breaks under the direction of the Restaurant Manager.

**Job Description**:

- Assist Restaurant Manager in operating and managing the restaurant with consistence to A&W’s QSCSP standards.
- Assume responsibility for running the restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager to ensure continuance of a smooth and efficient operation.
- Ability to adapt to new, additional and enlarged job responsibilities in line with A&W’s growth and business expansion.
- Maintain high quality of food, beverage, sanitation and customer service in the restaurant through participation in the training, motivation and supervision of crew members.
- Conduct inventories and orders materials, equipment, food and beverages necessary for the efficient operation of the restaurant.
- Participate in the interview and selection of crew members and with support from Training department, train them to accomplish their duties in accordance with A&W’s prescribed policies and procedures.
- Prepare daily and monthly reports as well as projects related to management of the restaurant.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with Restaurant Manager, Area Manager and Corporate Office personnel through regular communication as well as reliable and accurate reporting.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and dependability in all aspects of the job description.
- Assist Restaurant Manager in assessing the performance of restaurant staff under his/her leadership and give the necessary assistance, supervision and support to motivate their career development in A&W’s career development program.

**Job Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of related experience, prefably in a quick service environment, to better faciliate and understand the operating functions of A&W restaurants.
- Knowledge of basic accounting system and procedures in order to complete necessary operations reports is a bonus.
- Exceptional communication skills necessary to effectively manage a diverse group of employees and service the guests.
- Organizational and leadership skills to run a smooth operation.
- A Customer Maniac and a team player.
- Able to commerce work immediately or within short notice.
