**About the Team**

The Datacenter Infrastructure Engineering team supports the company's fast growth by building and operating hyperscale datacenters. The team manages the end to end lifecycle of server fleet, providing cloud solutions and various infrastructure services ensuring that they are scalable and are reliable.

As the Production System Engineer, you would manage the full lifecycles of ByteDance's server fleet, including initial deployment, OS installation, service provisioning, inventory management, troubleshooting and repairs, and eventually decommissioning and recycles.

**Responsibilities**
- Work with cross-functional teams on large-scale data center projects and initiatives including datacenter buildout and server deployment.
- Perform deep dives on complex technical issues within the data center, ranging from software bugs, hardware failures to network issues.
- Own policies and procedures for the day to day operations to ensure a secure and smooth production environment.
- Build tools and automations to improve the operational efficiency.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, Electrical engineering or any other relevant fields with minimum 2 years of experience.
- Knowledge of Linux and hardware systems in a production environment.
- Experience in shell scripting or programming languages.
- Experience with massive remote OS installation such as PXE boot.
- Knowledge of out-of-band/lights-out server communication methods, such as IPMI and NCSI.
- Excellent time and project management experience.
