**Duties**:
You will serve as Sexual Assault Prevention, Response, and Recovery Services Manager (SAPRR SM) with the primary responsibilities to: (1) serve as a principal staff advisor for the SAPRR program and technical expert/consultant for SAPRR operational issues; (2) supervise SAPRR professionals,
including Supervisory Regional Sexual Assault Response Coordinators (R-SARCs), Sexual Assault Response Coordinators (SARCs), and
Victim Advocate Program Specialists (VAPs); and (3) manage the SAPRR headquarters Inspection Program.
Being a CG Civilian makes you a valuable member of the CG team. Typical work assignments include:
- Providing immediate supervisory and technical oversight of subordinate R-SARCs, SARCs and VAPs, who have the responsibility of facilitating sexual assault reporting and providing assistance to victims of sexual assault.
- Planning, managing, coordinating, and carrying out the requirements of the SAPRR program, including setting deadlines, priorities, course of actions, and developing plans to achieve objectives; directing subordinate supervisors to coordinate and oversee the work of field staff and plans work to be accomplished by setting and adjusting short-term priorities and preparing schedules for completion of work.
- Providing executive-level oversight of the SAPRR program and operations to include reporting, data collection, assessment, statistical analysis, and other requirements as necessary, including climate and cultural posture with support from other agencies, such as the Department of Defense (DoD), DHS, Office of People Analytics (OPA), Office of Personnel Management (OPM), and others.
- Collecting data sets from field sites, performing analyses and recommending improvements in data gathering and analysis related to sexual assault and other behaviors on the continuum of harm, closely monitoring data to identify trends, drawing appropriate and defensible conclusions, and preparing and distributing reports.
- Reviewing SAPRR-related training activities and initiatives to ensure they comply with current laws, regulations, and policies, and are consistent with the CG’s values.
- Providing program management support, including strategic planning and policy development, coordination of action plans, assisting USCG units, and conducting analysis of policy/program effectiveness.
- Executing standardized objectives, policies, and performance measures for program effectiveness based on inspection findings, with the intent of reinforcing USCG’s commitment to eliminating incidents of sexual assault and caring for survivors through a comprehensive approach that centers on prevention, training, education, victim advocacy, response, reporting, and follow-up actions.

**Qualifications**:
**Basic Requirements**
**Degree**: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
OR
**Combination of education and experience** that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
OR
**Four years of appropriate experience** that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
**In addition to the Basic Requirement, applicants must meet the Specialized Experience Requirement**:
**Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.**
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
