Our client is a digital marketplace whose platform serves the entire supply chain for the natural rubber industry, connecting farmers, producers, buyers, financial institutions, logistics, and warehousing suppliers. Through their platform, parties can track pricing, access market information, and execute transactions directly. Other value-added services such as financing, insurance, and logistics.

They are looking for a Head Of Technology to shape and deliver the vision of a secure marketplace for natural rubber and other software products for the natural rubber supply chain and expand to other commodities such as palm oil.

If you like the opportunities and challenges of working in a growing business, leading the design and development of scalable, secure, and performing systems using best practices across different devices such as web, mobile, and IoT and different technologies. Your output will make a genuine impact on sustainability and traceability.

**The current tech stack includes**: Python 3; JavaScript; TypeScript; C#; Kotlin; Swift; Ionic; Django;.NET Framework; MSSQL; PostgreSQL.

**Responsibilities**:
Set and communicate the vision and roadmap of the company from a technical perspective with the help of the business.

Lead the technology team to develop and maintain cutting-edge software products, manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, and negotiate with stakeholders, partners, and vendors.

Lead the hiring process of the technology team.

Conduct research and development for the trading platform as well as other company projects.

Deliver production quality code.

Develop and integrate with internal and external APIs.

Design, develop, deploy, maintain and improve with a test-driven development approach to their software, data acquisition, storage, and visualizations.

Lead the work with business stakeholders, product owners, and business analysts to analyse requirements, develop ideas, and design solutions.

Set KPIs for the technology team and carry out regular assessments.

Be responsible for uptime, performance, and security.

**Requirements**:
Interest in digital trading platforms.

Strong knowledge of one or more general-purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Python, JavaScript, C#, Kotlin. Strong knowledge of Angular and Django specifically and demonstrated ability to work on the back end and front end.

A focus on strong security practices and processes to ensure the company's continuing compliance with ISO 27001 data security and other security best practices and standards.

Knowledge of best practices for DevOps and agile development.

A passion for computer programming, deep curiosity to learn and absorb new technologies quickly, keen interest in automation, and self-starter who can work independently as well as lead teams to meet challenging targets.

Strong communication skills to communicate your ideas in a clear and concise manner to the team as well as strong influencing and negotiation skills.
