Material Program Sustainment Coordinators are responsible for ensuring that material and service requirements are met successfully for delivered ships.

**AUTHORITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensure program materials and services needs are met through facilitation and coordination between cross functional teams.
- Lead material representative in Program/Project meetings for assigned projects; supporting and providing project teams, Production, and other management with consistent material updates
- Maintain consistent communication and interaction with Project Lead to report status of material and services
- Proactively escalate material or services concerns and issues, and collaborate to mitigate when meeting delivery schedules are at risk; drive implementation of associated corrective actions.
- Ensure all material deficiencies are cured and trial cards or other material related matters are satisfied in support of all post-delivery work scope.
- Support material or services requirements at offsite locations which may require air travel. The potential for offsite travel can be in excess of 30%.
- Hold status meetings with individuals in Supply Chain, Engineering, and other departments, and send out meeting actions and expected completion dates.
- Coordinate with project scheduler and Engineering to ensure material requirements are clear in support of planned work in the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
- Facilitate fulfilment of material requirements and execution of subcontracted work occurs in support of planned work in the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
- Address and resolve issues involving material and services orders, job schedules, considering financial impacts where applicable.
- Liaison between Supply Chain Management and project teams to ensure seamless flow of information between all internal customers on material matters for specified projects.
- Provide direction, documentation and ensure restoration occurs for the donor hull where component parts were removed from equipment (cannibalized), material transfers or Navy borrows occurred
- Work closely with the Engineering and Project Management for new construction and post-delivery organizations to identify risks and material transfers to determine least impact to the company.
- Ensure these policies are communicated and the established processes are followed closely by other departments; includes recommending changes in policy and facilitates process change with other departments.
- Identify risks or potential cost impacts to program Estimates At Completion
- Support Supply Chain in SCAR execution and chargebacks as required
- Ensure purchasing department expedites delivery when necessary to meet schedule requirements or establish best delivery date available.
- Analyzer of material and subcontractor requisitions, purchase orders, and information from POCs to evaluate risks related to material availability versus schedule requirements and summarizes results
- Review requisitions and verifies specifications with requester as necessary
- Prepare written and/or graphic material to convey information to internal stakeholders.
- Support Material Program Lead on material related matters in preparation for various Executive Review meetings.

**QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE**:

- Detail-oriented, meticulous individual
- Strategic, analytical and innovative, with solid problem solving skills
- Exceptionally strong organizational and prioritization skills required
- Good vocabulary and grammar skills and the ability to independently compose routine and clearly written communications.
- Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate on issues to actively reach resolution with internal customers, senior management, Purchasing team members, Program/Project Management, and suppliers.
- Ability to recognize critical situations and immediately take appropriate action
- Demonstrate high initiative and drive to address problems and drive to resolution
- Excellent verbal and written communicator.
