**Job Summary**

This position reports to Director Energy Operations and CleanTech - APAC and is responsible for supporting delivery of Equinix Global Energy and Sustainability strategy in APAC. The role will be part of the team leading the Equinix Energy Procurement and Sustainability Program and will support Equinix’s power solutions and resourcing strategy, focusing on energy systems and utility connections. The Senior Manager will lead efforts to secure and manage utility connections, oversee Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), evaluate On Site Power Generation, and contribute to the overall development of the company’s power availability strategy throughout APAC.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible day-to-day management of Energy and Utility contracts across APAC
- Manage the energy sourcing and purchasing process in APAC including development of qualified bidders’ lists; receipt and evaluation of proposals; financial modeling/analysis; contract negotiation, award and administration of purchase orders, and preparation and distribution of records and reports
- Lead investigations and preliminary research to assess energy options and availability for data center site development, ensuring thorough documentation and analysis
- Engage with energy consultant to monitor market trends and to understand technical details around available electricity products
- Oversee the management and negotiation of utility connection agreements, ensuring reliable and cost-effective power supply for Equinix’s operations
- Assist in the development and execution of strategies to ensure continuous and reliable power availability across all Equinix facilities, considering both current needs and future growth
- Evaluate OSPG and storage options for long term power needs, bridging solutions, and or grid services
- Establish and manage relationships with internal stakeholders including supporting the Utilities & Energy team, Global Operations, Accounting, Sales & customers, Investor & Analyst Relations and Marketing
- Participate in development, management, and evolving renewable energy procurement strategy to support overall long-term corporate sustainability objectives
- Regularly present to country MD’s and other internal/external groups as necessary
- Ability to travel frequently travel internationally and domestically

**Qualifications**
- 7 to 10 years’ experience working power utilities procurement, and/or sustainability
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred
- Experience with complex contract negotiations and supplier management specific to utilities procurement
- Supplier / Utility / Energy Consultancy experience
- Broad understanding of Power Purchasing Agreements (PPA’s) in APAC and experience with financial modeling and analysis
- Possess excellent negotiation skills, evidenced by significant deliverables (e.g., cost savings, risk mitigation) resulting from completed negotiations
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, successfully interfacing with all internal and external stakeholders
- Provide excellent analytical skills identifying all options available and defining best possible solutions
