**THE ROLE
Vouch is looking for an awesome Engineering Lead to join our team and grow with us. Our people are at the core of everything we do, and we empower them by having a really fantastic work culture. We are looking for an Engineering Lead to spearhead our tech initiatives and lead our engineering team. You will be enjoying a dynamic startup culture and have the experience of making immediate impactful changes to how we travel.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Set strong technical/architectural foundations, implementing good design practices and principles in software development
- Review current infrastructure design and draft proposals to develop and deploy scalable technologies.
- Lead and organise engineering projects, ensuring resource optimization
- Department planning, including setting of department goals and OKRs
- In charge of leading and building the engineering team for the company

**REQUIREMENTS**
- A proven track record in full-stack software development or engineering in a technology firm or a high-growth startup
- Background in technology is a must (degree in computer science or similar, at least 7 years experience and at least 3 years in a managerial role)
- Experience leading a team of developers and maintaining an organised oversight of specific product delivery schedules
- Know-how to conduct technical analyses of business problems, develop technical roadmaps and story outlines, write user stories, refine product backlogs, and coordinate or prioritise conflicting requirements in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to use diplomacy & communication to influence outcomes and others without authority
- Extensive experience with NodeJs, MongoDB and AWS
