[What the role is]

Assistant Manager (Arts)

[What you will be working on]

The successful appointee will be expected to be involved in the areas of arts student development programmes, arts groups management and arts productions on-stage and online.

1. Manage and facilitate the development of student arts groups (eg. theatre, dance, music and production crew groups).

2. Plan and execute arts student development programmes.

3. Develop transferable skillsets in student-artists.

4. Curate arts events and activities for campus-wide arts culture and exposure.

5. Manage and direct arts groups in local, overseas and online performances/concerts/ competitions.

6. Coordinate productions in the areas of stage presence, lighting, sound and stage management.

7. Assist with managing the Black Box Theatre and arts facilities.

8. Assist with department-wide projects (campus activities, community activities, special activities).

9. Provide creative curation and artistic direction support for the arts division.

10. Able to work beyond office hours when required.

[What we are looking for]

1. Tertiary education qualifications with at least 3 years of arts industry experience.

2. Arts experience across a range of areas which may include: teaching, production or performance.

3. Experience in artistic direction, production coordination, stage management and/or mixed media production will be an asset.

4. Relevant experience in student management and development work.

5. Team player with strong creative and artistic direction capabilities.

6. Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication (written and spoken) skills.
