**University Admissions Consultant Job Description**
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' academic backgrounds, interests, and career aspirations to develop tailored admissions strategies.
- Advise students on specific university admissions requirements, including aptitude tests (e.g., SMU Admissions Test) or entrance interviews.
- Assist students in crafting compelling personal statements, essays, and portfolios that effectively showcase their strengths, achievements, and aspirations.
- Provide guidance on securing strong letters of recommendation and preparing for interviews or presentations, where applicable.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, policies, and changes in the Singapore higher education landscape, including updates from universities like NUS, NTU, SMU, SUTD, and SIT.
- Offer insights into specialized program requirements, such as medicine (Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine or Duke-NUS) or law programs.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for students throughout the admissions process.Maintain records of student interactions, progress, and outcomes to track performance and enhance service delivery.
**Key Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution (preferably from a Singapore university or equivalent).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in admissions consulting, education counseling, or a related teaching role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Bilingual proficiency in both English and Mandarin is imperative. Exceptional Mandarin language skills are preferred, especially for effective communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.
