Singapore GLOBAL CENTRE FOR MARITIME DECARBONISATION LIMITED Full time

The Director of Communications reports to the CEO and plays a key role in engaging existing stakeholders and new partners of the centre.

A significant part of the role is to develop and implement communications projects that highlight the centre’s mission and work. To that end, this individual will work in concert with the Director of Partnerships to engage stakeholders and partners and coordinate the team’s external-facing activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Create and drive GCMD’s communications strategy to ensure a consistent brand image, voice and integrity across all platforms
- Prepare and manage all internal and external communications material including governing board meeting collaterals
- Maintain and update the centre’s website and LinkedIn page, including developing policies and procedures for content publication
- Approve external requests to ensure consistent use of the center’s graphic identity, and establish and maintain a photo and illustrations archive
- Engage counterparts at communications offices in other like-minded entities in
- Manage presence at external engagement opportunities, such as interviews and presentations
- Event planning and management
- Track centre’s digital coverage and engagement across various platforms and make data-driven decisions
- Amplify content through social media and monitor the sites
- Oversee the Communications Manager in charge of content generation
- Work with the Director of Partnerships to engage existing partners and cultivate new partnerships
- Maintain a communications and events calendar
- Manage a partnerships database

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, economics or relevant field
- Experience in the relevant industries (maritime and decarbonisation a plus)
- Minimum 10 years working experience with at least 8 years in a similar role
- Strong presentation and written communications skills
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent command of the English Language both spoken and written
- Knowledge and understanding of communications practices, tools, and techniques in social media
- Passionate about sustainability and maritime decarbonisation
- Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure
- Team player, highly motivated, ability to work independently and confidently
