**What the role is**
- The Workforce Singapore Agency (WSG) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Manpower that oversees the transformation of the local workforce and different industry segments to meet ongoing economic challenges. WSG promotes the development, competitiveness, inclusiveness, and employability of all levels of the workforce to ensure all sectors of the economy are supported by a strong, inclusive Singaporean core. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Legal Counsel to lead the legal team and manage all legal matters in WSG.

**What you will be working on**
- Responsibilities You will provide full legal support in respect of a broad spectrum of matters, including but not limited to the following: - Draft, review and advise on all corporate contracts including grant agreements, non-disclosure agreements, tenders/quotations, licensing agreements, letters of offer/lease agreements, sponsorship agreements, memorandum of understanding and employment-related agreements - Draft, review and advise on IT tenders/quotations and SaaS agreements - Advise on a wide range of law including contract law, intellectual property law, employment law, land law, agency law, privacy laws and regulations - Manage and oversee external counsel for all outsourced legal matters - Collaborate with divisions to devise effective legal risk management strategies and strengthen internal governance policies - Educate divisions on legal topics that are relevant to WSG’s work - Advise on Workforce Singapore Agency Act, Personal Data Protection Act, Companies Act, and any other legislations and regulations that are relevant to WSG’s work - Provide legal support for any investigative and audit work carried out in WSG

**What we are looking for**
- Requirements - A degree in Law with a reputable tertiary institution - Admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor in Singapore - At least 8 years of Post Qualification Experience (PQE) in practice and/or in house - Prior experience in corporate practice is an advantage - Excellent legal analytical skills, drafting and negotiation skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Supervisory experience will be an advantage. - Ability to work independently and be a good team player - Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines - Solutions-driven, meticulous and responsible All applicants will be notified on whether they are shortlisted or not within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting
