About the position

As a group, Virtuos has become a recognized leader in its field, has been growing faster than its peers in recent years, and is pursuing an aggressive global expansion strategy. To this end, we are seeking Senior Accountant who can join our team and help pave the way towards our new goals.
Joining Virtuos as an AP Accountant, you will be supporting the Financial Controller on the full AP function and daily cash management functions. This role requires you to have an understanding on the global payment requirements and support for day-to-day business transactions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the account payable function, including global payments to suppliers on a timely basis
- Understand and have working knowledge on bank compliance requirements and maintenance of payment templates on bank portals
- Support business transactions to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, policies and procedures
- Understand payment approval hierarchy to obtain payment authorization and release payment files to Banks per Finance policies
- Maintain bank correspondences and payment files, ensuring that disbursements are successfully processed
- Perform payment reconciliation and manage month-end AP closing procedures
- Support and assist with process changes to improve internal controls and efficiency
- Ability to prioritize tasks within job function balancing the need to meet tight deadlines and other corporate demands

**Qualifications**:

- Degree/Diploma in Accounting / Finance or ACCA equivalent
- 2-4 years of related work experience in multi-national companies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience in Microsoft Dynamics is beneficial
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude combined with an ability to take initiative and work autonomously without supervision
- Team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines
- Proven ability to work across cultures, functions and borders
- Fluent in both spoken and written English and Mandarin
