**Position Overview**

Key Responsibilities:

- Risk Assessment: Evaluate credit risks associated with individual borrowers, industries, and sectors. Analyze market conditions, macroeconomic factors, and industry-specific risks to identify potential credit risks and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage the credit risk exposure of the bank's lending portfolio. Identify and report emerging risks, concentrations, and portfolio trends. Propose strategies for portfolio optimization and risk diversification.
- Credit Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and procedures. Review and update credit risk guidelines in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Provide inputs for developing and enhancing credit risk management frameworks.
- Credit Decision Making: Make sound credit decisions based on the risk analysis and credit policies. Assess and recommend appropriate credit limits, pricing, and terms for different types of borrowers. Present credit proposals to senior management and credit committees for approval.
- Credit Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the performance of the lending portfolio and identify early warning signs of credit deterioration. Prepare regular credit risk reports, including portfolio performance metrics, stress testing results, and credit risk indicators, to support senior management and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including relationship managers, underwriters, and legal teams, to gather relevant information and ensure effective credit risk management. Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and credit rating agencies as required.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging credit risk management practices. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and implementation of advanced risk analytics tools.
