The Principal Policy Officer resides in the Policy department in NTUC and plays a chief role in driving the expansion of public support for the Progressive Wage Model (PWM), a key platform for NTUC that provides workers with better wage, welfare, and work prospects commensurate with productivity gains and skills-upgrading.

In this role, you will work closely with the Deputy Director and Assistant Director to formulate NTUC’s overall advocacy strategy for PWM expansion. You will support PWM expansion with research on potential sectors, identifying potential levers, organising stakeholder engagements, and making recommendations to senior leadership. You will develop, track and evaluate outcomes for workers in PWM sectors, recommending appropriate interventions and actions. Additionally, you will test and pilot programmes that support, empower and protect beneficiaries of PWM.

**Requirements**:

- Strong interest in and understanding of Singapore’s socio-economic policy landscape, and passionate about making a difference in uplifting people’s lives as Singapore develops into a modern society
- Experienced policy advocate with relevant work and internship experience working in the public or people sector in policy, communications, community engagement or advocacy roles
- At least three years of experience in public policy, advocacy or research preferred
- Work or internship experience developing, implementing and tracking the success of public policy programmes
- University degree in Political Science, Economics, Law, Communications or any other related fields
- A self-starter, able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and writing skills, with a keen interest in data analysis
- Good interpersonal skills, able to engage multiple stakeholders
