Our Client is a leading global supplier of logistics services. The role of a Director, of APAC Freight Forwarding, is to be responsible for developing the organization of the APAC Freight Forwarding Division which will maximize ocean cargo handling volume, revenue, and profit of the Asia Region,
【 What you will be doing 】
- In cooperation with the regional CEO and subordinates (Procurement GM and Business Development GM of the division), to make regional-wide freight forwarding strategies
- Design the organization of the APAC Freight Forwarding Division which will maximize ocean cargo handling volume, revenue, and profit of the Asia Region
- Design the operational process and rules which include but are not limited to accounting rules, decision-making rules for strategic pricing, selection of carriers and priority lanes etc. to achieve the above-mentioned targets
- Recruit and set up a new team member(s) (when necessary and appropriate) of relevant industry talents and effectively organize the team,
- To liaise with counterparts (mainly MDs/DMDs of Asia Region Countries) with group companies
- To review, improve and standardize work processes and procedures to improve the efficiency of the Department to meet ISO standard
- To review and delegate job tasks to ensure staff is working efficiently with a clear understanding of business directions and goals
- To evaluate & appraise subordinate’s work performance for management review
- Annual budget and mid-term plan making of the Division and whole region, and monitoring the performance
- ** Requirement**:

- At least 10 years work experience in similar position,
- Good working experience with know-how on carrier’s pricing organization and/or in ocean freight management section of huge MNC shipper (consignor) who has direct contract with carriers,
- Good working experience in MNC companies to liaise with colleagues from different countries,
- Strong connections with management of carriers especially in Singapore,
- Good ability to strategize and solve problems,
- Possess strong leadership and organizational skills,
- Excellent communication and people skills,
- Possess high awareness and interests about improvements, growth and adopting new business model & technologies.
- ** Working Hour**: 8:30 ~ 18:00
