**About our group**:
Seagate Technology, the global leader in storage solutions innovation, seeks a Market Analyst. The position will be based in our Singapore facility with remote work capabilities.

This position is part of our Business Planning organization which includes the responsibilities of Market Research, Business Vertical Analysis, Demand Planning, and Optimization. Our group’s charter is to define short and long term market trends facing the global storage industry, accurately forecast the market demand, while working alongside Business Marketing to forecast business verticals.

We are looking for someone who will be comfortable working closely with business teams but also deal with complex numerical analysis, modeling techniques and company data information sets.

**About the role - you will**:
Perform the following tasks
- Analysis - Maintain internal and external data sets and use them to create better understanding of vertical, channel, and product trends in the market.
- Planning - Work with business segment leaders on quarterly/yearly forecasts.
- Tools and process - Drive data integration of internal systems into planning tools and quarterly planning processes.
- Market Research - Support business segments with ad hoc analysis on the market and understand and catalog external reports.

**About you**:

- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills desired
- Business acumen, understands how key metrics drive a business

**Your experience includes**:

- At least 2 years of experience in business analytics or financial analytics function
- Experience in data analytics
- Strong proficiency in MSFT Excel
- Project management, be able to manage multiple projects and deliverables.
- Experience in statistical modeling techniques and pricing analysis
- Tableau, Alteryx, and SAP experience
- Experience working in the storage industry with knowledge of Hard Disk Drives (HDDs) and Solid State Drives (SSDs) is an added advantage
- Working knowledge of the hardware ecosystem surrounding storage technologies and companies
- BS/BA degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Statistics)

**Location**:
The Shugart site (named after Seagate’s founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center. Easily accessible from the One-North MRT Station, many employees choose to take mass-transportation to work. Ample free on-site parking is also available. Being a purpose built building, The Shugart has excellent employee recreational facilities. Take an active break at our badminton courts, table tennis tables, in-house gym and recreation rooms.
