**Role/ Department**:
The Vice President, Conduct Specialist will report into the Singapore Chief Administrative Officer, and is responsible for managing key aspects of Accountability Regimes in Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong and China) on behalf of Northern Trust. The incumbent will ensure that the regulatory responsibilities of Northern Trust are adhered to and that all partners impacted by the Accountability Regimes are given appropriate support and guidance. The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring that awareness of conduct risk and related best practices are shared across the relevant jurisdictions in Asia.
**The key responsibilities of the role include**:
- Implement various accountability regimes in Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong and China), administer key aspects of these regimes, and develop conduct management information in conjunction with business partners;
- Guide existing and future senior managers/accountable persons on their obligations under the relevant accountability regimes, escalating matters for decision as appropriate within the relevant jurisdictions;
- Champion awareness of the conduct framework within relevant jurisdictions;
- Periodically review and identify operational improvements to internal processes as they relate to accountability regimes to ensure optimal efficiency and accuracy of work;
- Lead the development of conduct related training in conjunction with second line of defence;
- Responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of relevant documentation for relevant accountability regimes;
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments pertaining to accountability regimes within relevant Asian jurisdictions.
**Skills/ Qualifications**:
- Ability to synthesize information to present to, influence and, if appropriate, challenge senior management;
- Ability to work with ambiguity;
- Strong communications skills;
- Working knowledge of and experience in key accountability regimes in Asia (Singapore and Hong Kong) and/or the UK Senior Managers and Certification Regime.
