**ROLE**

Data is a critical enabler of our business, from our investment professionals and clients to our distribution and operations team. The Data Operations team ensures that our data assets and “data products” are fit for purpose, both now and in the future. Working in the Securities and Index data team, this role is responsible for Securities and Index data stewardship, ensuring data integrity and the build-up of data domain expertise, driving forward a scalable operating model.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

This is a key role in the new function, reporting to the Team Leader and working within a data governance framework. The Data Manager is responsible for the stewardship of the investment data that resides in Aladdin and/or the Eastspring Data Management Platform (DMP), ensuring the data is complete, consistent, fit for purpose and ready for consumption for all end users.

**In the Securities and Index Data function, the Data Manager will be responsible for the following tasks**:

- Creation and maintenance of new securities in Aladdin
- Monitor data integrity in Aladdin Security Master
- Manage and monitor data exceptions in Aladdin
- Provide support on ad-hoc queries related to security analytics, static data, index data to the front office teams
- Sourcing and Onboarding of new market data like market indexes and Aladdin unsupported data
- Set up and maintenance of standard or custom/blended benchmarks in Aladdin and Eastspring DMP
- Daily validations to ensure data integrity of Securities and Benchmarks
- Maintenance of Eastspring specific custom information such as internal ratings, customized sectors.
- Continuous updates of standard operating procedures along with the new releases
- Provide data management input for the Change requests/new initiatives raised by various business teams
- Provide input to requirement documents, use cases and other papers as required.
- Ensure all new procedures are documented and agreed.

**EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS**
- Degree in Business/Finance or related disciplines
- Experience in managing Benchmarks and Securities data
- An excellent understanding of a wide range of tradable instruments
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Prior experience using Aladdin is desirable
- Knowledge of R & Python programming skills is a plus
- Good understanding of Front Office, Trade Lifecycle and Operations processes and Understanding of the data management governance frameworks
- Working knowledge of data vendor systems such as Bloomberg, Reuters, RIMES, etc.
- Excellent customer focus and high level of accuracy, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of the small team.
