**Membership & Events Intern**

**_This will be the most exciting internship you’ll ever have._**

We are looking for a fun and vibrant team player who cares deeply about delivering great experiences for our guests. This role sits within the Membership and Events team, however you will be liaising and working with all departments to help plan events and bring Ideas to life To understand how the operations work, you will also have to cross train with the Service and Reception teams to understand the club operation.

**Your Role**:

- Research and propose new ideas for events at 1880
- Source decor, props, games, materials etc. required for events
- Support with day to day membership admin
- Support the preparation of decor elements needed for events
- Assist with the set-up and breakdown of events
- Manage RSVPs for events and greet members and guests warmly on the day of events
- Ensure highest level of member and guest experience
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and manager
- There will be cross training with various departments (Service/Membership/Events) to better understand & perform the role
- Assist full-time staff with day-to-day operations and event planning
- Must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines, and be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends

**What we are looking for**:

- Experience (membership/events related) is not a must, but prior experience in similar capacity would be an advantage
- A high standard of personal hygiene and grooming
- A spirit of hospitality and interest in ensuring that guests have a great experience
- Must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines, and be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Reliable and good team player with an engaging personality
- Ability to work on weekends and public holidays on shifting schedules or when Events take place.
- Able to commit to a 6 months internship (negotiable)
