**Market responsibilities: Payments, lending and fintech**

An individual contributor, proficient in thought leadership, client engagement, and the ability to promote their content to external audiences (e.g., conferences) will fit well with this role.

**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**

Insights Manager is a new role within the Passport Syndicated Research team, reporting to the respective Head of Vertical and working especially closely with other roles that specialize in content and engagement - Global Leads and Industry Managers. The Insights Manager is a client facing research role where more than half of time is spent engaged in or preparing for client facing activity. The client base should be targeted based on both geography and through expertise by Passport sector.

**Key responsibilities**:
The Insights Manager - Payments and Lending Asia role is tasked with developing expert content in written form and for presentation and delivering that content through client engaged services. Responsibilities can be described as 50% content and 50% client as follows:
**_Content_**
- Create market insights from global data for own content and in the work of others employing the knowledge of the research network, Passport data, and Analytics. Create content by not just collating information but rather using Passport data and information as the basis of opinionated, forward-looking, compelling insight meant to build value for client in their Passport subscriptions and services.
- Focus on payments and lending; however, successful Insights Managers will think (and write) laterally to connect their content to the vast array of related data and insights available in Passport (e.g., consumer trends)
- Deliver high quality, expert strategic content, with both global scope and regional expertise, actionable for an engaged client base both local to a region and global.
- Support and drive global Strategic Themes and content initiatives for specific client and geographic perspectives.
- To do the same for the work of others through leading, co-authoring, and editing.
- Minimum content metrics, three strategic pieces plus at least one piece of templatised content per year.

**_Research_**
- Deliver high quality global and regional research on payments, lending, and Fintech in the form of strategic content and briefings and in global and regional support.
- Demonstrate abilities in working with industry published statistics and Euromonitor's analytical tools (where available) to enhance research inputs from the Passport research organisation.
- Proactively build the knowledgebase through access of internal research, external publications and through interactions with client facing teams and clients/industry bodies.
- Build client research partnerships with major payment providers to the benefit of the wider research organization. Seek the development of virtuous circle relationships through all industry interactions.
- Promote and maintain a research agenda around all activities/engagements and build knowledge as part of a continuous wheel of dialogue with the industry.
- Collaborate with Industry Managers, Project Managers, and the research network to strengthen research results using all inputs including client information.

**_Commercial_**
- Operate from a client first mentality and uses expertise to fulfil client needs. A research-led approach to client satisfaction.
- Bring industry and geographic expertise to help win and retain business.
- Coordinate with global sales and account management teams on client needs and priorities, take collective view on new business and renewals.
- Work with Comms to build on our expert industry profile, develop strong relationships with key trade press, conference organisers and associations. Produce copy for business and trade press. Deliver presentations at key industry events.

**_Consulting support_**
- Seek to assist in fulfilling client needs through the entire custom research lifecycle, from discovery through to delivery.
- Maintain awareness of and involvement in Consulting opportunities, develop learnings from opportunities based on client and key areas of interest.
- Lend expertise to client and Consulting Business Development in the process, help shape, sharpen, and guide the proposal process to successfully win business.
- Assist in building scalable, high margin custom solutions.
- Where appropriate, may actively deliver or assist in delivery of bespoke projects including First Step deliverables in an expert capacity.

**Requirements**:

- Right to work in Singapore
- At least 5 -7 years of research / insights background, preferably in Payments & Lending
- High level of numeracy and analytical capabilities.
- Solid experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- A very strong analyst able to identify and build evidence-based thought leadership that adds value to information solutions and meets the strategic needs of clients.
