**Role responsibilities**
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term plans and strategies to improve operations, increase efficiency, and achieve organizational goals.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to optimize workflows and increase productivity.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks that may impact the business, including compliance risks, safety risks, and financial risks.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and track performance metrics to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of operations and identify areas for improvement.
- Team Management: Lead and manage teams responsible for executing operational activities, including training, and performance management. Provide coaching and mentoring to individuals and teams to support their development and improve their performance.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and team members, to ensure that all parties are aligned and informed.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to drive operational excellence and stay ahead of industry trends and best practices.
- Training Needs Assessment: Conduct needs assessments to identify training needs and gaps in skills and knowledge.
- Curriculum Development: Develop and design training curriculums and materials, including lesson plans, training manuals, and presentations.
- Training Delivery: Deliver training programs to individuals and groups, including in-person and online training sessions.
- Training Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using various methods, including feedback surveys and performance assessments.
**Required experience**
- Diploma in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering, computer science, or information technology. A Bachelor’s degree may be preferred.
- Experience working with autonomous vehicle technology and systems. A strong technical background in autonomous vehicle technology and related areas, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and sensors, is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills is highly desirable.
- Experience in training or teaching is also highly desirable. A certification in training or teaching, may be preferred. Manage administrative tasks related to training programs, including tracking attendance, managing training records, and reporting on training metrics.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for a Senior Ops Specialist. They must be able to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong organizational skills are required to manage multiple training programs and coordinate with cross-functional teams. A Senior Ops Specialist must be able to work effectively with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization.
- Develop and track performance metrics to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of business operations and identify areas for improvement.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
