Worldline’s presence in the APAC region is increasing rapidly. With local presence and licenses in many APAC region countries, including Singapore, India, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, Worldline is looking for an experience compliance professional that will lead and coordinate the compliance function in the APAC region and support with expertise and advice the local business organization.

**Roles and responsibilities**:
The APAC Compliance officer defines implements and promotes consistent compliance standards and frameworks to entities in the APAC region in accordance with Worldline Global compliance policies and recommendations.

In particular, the person assesses and monitors the effectiveness of the compliance risks and control environment within the different countries in order to identify and mitigate the risks.

The person provides the local entities’ boards and group compliance team with, reporting and assessments of the overall risk profile of the regional entities and monitors the mitigation of high-risk compliance matters.

This role manages the local compliance officers in the APAC region (including the compliance teams in India, Australia and Japan), while being the compliance officer responsible for our licenses in Singapore (MAS) and Japan (METI). The role ensures that appropriate compliance processes are in place across the APAC entities to meet the compliance Global standards, policies and international regulatory requirements, and to identify and manage current and emerging compliance risks and issues.

**Your day to day responsibilities**:

- Lead the APAC compliance organisation.
- Manage the Worldline licenses and the regulatory interaction in Singapore with MAS and Japan with METI and provide compliance advice to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Build and maintain a strong compliance framework and policies.
- Assess the effectiveness of controls and continuously improve them.
- Raise Awarness on local compliance obligations with the local teams.
- Create reports and other compliance related documents and communicate effectively compliance risks with management and Worldline Group compliance function.
- Assess future business activities to identify potential compliance risks.
- Ensure that, where required, issues are escalated appropriately.
- Provides compliance support for new product initiatives where necessary.

**Sign of success**:

- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven knowledge of compliance requirements, practices and principles with evidenced experience of MAS and METI requirements, including local AML/CFT requirements.
- Experience in conducting a risk-based assessments and monitoring including experience in quantifying, managing & mitigating risk.
- Good knowledge of internal control and audit methodologies.
- Proven communication, analytical, and project management skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Working proficiency in Japanese is a strong plus.
- Ability to work autonomously, but also used to working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, inclusive of those in differing locations / geographies.
