We are partnering with a leading financial institution to appoint an APAC Head of IT Governance , responsible for overseeing regional IT governance, risk, and control frameworks across multiple countries and branches. This is a high-visibility leadership role requiring strong program-level management experience and a firm grasp of technology governance in a banking context.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the establishment and ongoing operation of IT governance structures across APAC, ensuring alignment with global standards and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee risk and control processes related to IT across regional entities
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders across business and technology to enforce governance, audit readiness, and policy compliance
  • Drive regional alignment and reporting across multiple countries, managing relationships with local technology heads, and control functions
  • Represent APAC IT governance in internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance initiatives
  • Run and facilitate regional IT operational meetings, performance councils, and governance forums
  • Work closely with global governance teams to ensure consistency and proactive risk mitigation
  • Lead incident management across the region, including maintaining the incident framework and playbooks, and coordinating with global and local stakeholders during crisis scenarios

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in incident or crisis management within the financial services, banking, or enterprise technology space.
  • Strong background in banking and financial services technology governance
  • Prior experience working at or with consulting firms (e.g., Big 4, Tier-1 strategy firms)
  • Deep understanding of IT operations across the APAC region within a regulated banking environment
  • Demonstrated success in leading regional IT governance, risk, and oversight programs
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, especially with senior executives across regions
  • Experience working in a matrixed multinational organization, with proven ability to drive alignment across countries
