- about 4 hours agoWe are currently working with an international Data Centre Operator with strong expansion growth strategy regionally to bring in talented Technical Services Managers in Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan who are dependable and possesses a technical and commercial mindset to support a portfolio of Data Centre Real Assets. **Key Responsibilities**:
- Being assigned a specific portion of the data center site or a portfolio of customers, for which you will assume responsibility as a Technical Service Manager (TSM). You will report any issues or tasks to the STSM as necessary.
- Leading and managing the planning and coordination of all preventive maintenance and repair work, including the OPEX budget. You will ensure compliance with change management and incident management procedures, as well as safety requirements. Additionally, you will coordinate activities with customers as needed.
- Collaborating with the Development team to oversee construction activities and installations, ensuring that system design, installation, and testing adhere to operational standards.
- Ensuring adherence to site operating procedures (SOP, MOP, EOP, security), as well as any other legally required documentation such as RA, SWMS, and EHS.
- Ensuring compliance with site-held accreditations, including but not limited to ISMS, ISO9001, ISO14001, SOC2, and PCI.
- Maintaining compliance with local regulatory requirements concerning environmental, building, fire, electrical, hydraulic, and occupational health and safety.
- Monitoring and managing the performance of outsourced service vendors and contractors, such as cleaning and gardening services.
- Serving as the primary operational contact for customers and acting as the local point of escalation during emergency events and day-to-day operations. You will issue change and incident notices as necessary.
- Attending equipment testing during commissioning to validate the sequence of operations and receive all operational documentation.
- Managing the provision of data center services, including connectivity, power services, deployment, and any additional services required by customers.
- Leading minor capital projects for both customers and internal purposes.
- Supervising operational metrics, data analysis, and risk assessment.
- Conducting regular property inspections, including critical facilities, buildings, fixtures, and fittings, with support from the Building Services Manager (BSM).
- Ensuring the proper maintenance of data center operations, including general cleaning and security.
- Implementing and administering inventory control programs, as well as handling parts and supplier purchases.
**Key Requirements**:
- Possessing at least 5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical work in data centers (preferred but not essential), facilities, engineering operations, semiconductors, trades, or related fields.
- Demonstrating excellent collaboration skills and strong communication abilities in English. Proficiency in the native language of the primary territory of operations is a plus.
- Having the ability to create and review Method of Procedure documents, maintenance reports, incident reports, emergency event summaries, root cause analysis reports, and O&M manuals.
- Being capable of understanding and interpreting single line diagrams.
- Ideally, having experience in effectively managing third-party service providers and negotiating quotes/pricing for services.
- Familiarity with Customer Portals, Building Management Systems (BMS), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, and CAD software is beneficial.
- Possessing a high level of flexibility, forward-thinking, and motivation in the face of change.
- Demonstrating effective customer management skills and experience in leading meetings.
