**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a energetic and passionate service professionals who are embarking on a wine career path. The role is responsible for maintaining cellar organization alongside the sommelier team and supporting Sommeliers on the floor with the mechanics of wine service and cocktail and wine by the glass sales, as well as all other aspects of the customer experience at the table including greetings, menu sales, table maintenance, overall customer satisfaction and happiness, and fond farewells.

You will be personable, detail-oriented professionals with excellent communication and multitasking skills. Excel in providing outstanding customer service, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction from greeting to farewell. Experience in hospitality and a positive attitude are essential in this dynamic role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides exceptional service to every customer.
- Assists the Sommelier team by running bottles, placing and removing glassware, and opening wine as directed.
- Assists the service team by running drinks and selling wines by the glass, cocktails, and other beverages, in line with customer’s personal taste, price point, and food selection.
- Ensures wines are served in the correct glassware and at the proper temperature.
- Demonstrates a friendly personality, intermediate knowledge of wine and spirits, and great interpersonal skills.
- Has full knowledge of beverage and food menu items, enabling effective salesmanship that enhances both the business and customer experience.
- As needed, accurately takes and enters orders and communicates flow with servers, bartenders, and management.
- Effectively uses point of sale systems and other restaurant technology to account for all sales.
- Handles customer complaints or issues with a positive attitude, notifying management whenever necessary.
- Adheres to high standards of cleanliness, pre-bussing tables when possible.
- Maintains all service tools including decanters, wine keys, and more.
- Responsible for training new employees as assigned.
- Assists other stations or areas of the restaurant when requested by management.

**Prerequisite**:

- Must have the ability to read, speak, understand, follow written directions, and verbal instructions in English.
- Communicates information effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Possesses a positive, results-oriented, team-player mentality.
- Ability to perform job duties and responsibilities well and maintain professionalism and composure under pressure and in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Able to work a flexible schedule in order to accommodate business levels (weekend, nights, and holiday availability required).
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
- Familiarity with restaurant management software such as point of sales, reservations management, inventory management, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
- Ability to execute steps of service in adherence with company policy.
- WSET Level 2 or higher or CMS Certified Sommelier pin or higher preferred.
