The Facilities, Security and EHS Associate will assist the Facilities Department in leading the progression of the site’s Environmental, Health and Safety Policies and Procedures in compliance with both statutory requirements and best practice standards. Also, to ensure that Catalent Singapore’s equipment, facilities and plant are constantly in a compliant state as regards to environmental, safety and GMP legislation.

The Facilities, Security and EHS Associate assist the Facilities Department in leading the Planned Maintenance Program and carryout repairs at the Singapore facility to ensure the equipment, facilities and plant are operating efficiently to meet the business need and ensure effective fault diagnosis and problem solving to optimize safe efficient running of plant.

The Facilities, Maintenance and EHS Associate will assist competent support for specific improvement projects as required with regards to assisting in the design of and coordinating the implementation of new facilities and projects.

Assist to ensure maintenance of site security and compliance with Health and Safety and GMP legislation at all times.

Weekly meetings with the line manager are mandatory.

**The rôle**
- To assist the Facilities Department in carrying out their overall and final responsibility by performing the organization, implementation and review of EH&S issues in accordance with the workplace Safety And Health Act (WSHA).
- Assist to engage with Singapore personnel in the positive promotion and culture of EH&S.
- To undergo training for Risk Assessing and lead the performance of Risk Assessments in all areas, including but not limited to, Manual Handling, Work At Heights, Drug Spillage and Fire Legislation.
- Assist ensure sound procedures are in place for control of H&S of external visitors, contractors and engineers whilst on site.
- Assist to investigate and monitor accidents to determine the cause and establish the means to avoid future occurrence, reporting to management as necessary.
- Assist to initiate periodic audit of Singapore EH&S management systems.
- Assist to maintain and review the Emergency Evacuation Plan.
- Assist to prepare regular review of Standard Operating Procedures relating to own areas of responsibility.
- Assist to maintain and operate a planned maintenance system for the plant and equipment at Catalent Singapore in JDE and Trackwise Systems to maintain zero overdues.
- Assist to monitor energy usage, prepare statements of usage for finance.
- Assist to perform the calibration/ mapping /verification of equipment.
- Assist to maintain records of the testing/calibration of equipment that are required to verify the accuracy of facility instrumentation.
- Assist to obtain quotes for work to be carried out on the site by outside contractors etc, and liaise with contractors as required.
- Prepare and assist with validation work on new projects and facilities. Engineering traits and experience is an advantage.
- Assist to supervise the full work of contractors engaged in work on the site and ensure all Permits to Work are in place as appropriate.
- Ensure quality of work carried out by service and installation contractors is completed to a satisfactory standard.
- Assist with repairs and improvement projects.
- Assist Facilities Department to be maintained in compliance with the appropriate regulations.
- Building fabric to be maintained in a good state of repair.
- Any other duties which may properly be assigned to this post.
- Demonstrated fluency in English, both orally and written. Able to write technical writings is an advantage.
- Must have a good understanding of Singapore EHS legislation.
- 3 years EHS/facilities experience with a basic local EHS qualification preferred
- Multi-skilled technician with the ability to achieve a recognized qualification.
- Ability to make decisions on all day to day running of planned maintenance work that is already in the schedule.
- Ability to make fast and accurate decisions.
- Overview of all aspects of building maintenance.
- May require working outside of normal working day to perform essential duties, responding to emergency conditions or to represent the Singapore site in global meetings (physical, teleconference or web-ex) relevant to the role.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, internally and externally.
- Good IT knowledge.
- Ability to work as part of a team but also under own initiative.
- Must be able to work on a limited supervision.
