**The following are the core requirement.**

**Core skills**:

- Strong experience in Linux OS. Including system administration, writing of scripts, OS tuning, OS security.
- Comfortable with compilation and installation of open-source software packages and running IT infrastructure services with opensource software
- Comfortable with running and building Linux-based storage, preferably on ZFS
- Some experience in running Linux-based distributed filesystem highly desired
- Some knowledge in networking / firewalls / routing
- Some knowledge in common server and PC hardware technologies

**Good to have.**
- Some experience in running computational cluster. (eg. SLURM)
- Familiar with supporting Linux-based scientific tools and software
- Familiar with general security concepts and comfortable with running server VA/PT tools
- Some experience with automation tools like ansible or similarTags
