RESPONSIBILITIES- Design, establish and implement the authority approach and strategy.- Prepare authority engineering schedule and cost estimate.- Support during land use right contract negotiation.- Lead to obtain the numerous approvals and permits for various stages, in coordination with Evonik’s Project Manager(s), Project Responsible(s) and Engineering Contractors as well as other sub-contractors (e.g. consultants or 3rd party design supervision company).- Obtain approval of duty exemption quota for imported equipment.- Facilitate and support utility negotiation.- Support the plant management or EHS organization to obtain permits for production and operation.- Monitor the authority engineering schedule closely and make appropriate decisions to ensure meeting the timeline which is critical for the Plant commencement.- Drive, initiate and make decisions regarding permits and authorities related matters.- Gather and present the required/appropriate information for decision making.- Ensure that authority engineering schedule will not cause a time delay to the project completion.- Ensure the cost incurred under his / her scope are well within the approved budget.
REQUIREMENTS- A recognized bachelor or Master degree in Chemistry, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.- At least 3 years of working experience in Chemical Industry- Able to manage difficult situations independently, to consider and propose solutions to the team.- Possess strong planning, organizing and implementing skills.- Develop new practices and ways to manage the required job scope.- Engage in continuous improvements in process and procedures.- Possess strong Time and Stress Management.- Able to coordinate, develop and implement multi-functional and cross-business unit activities and derive results, especially with Authorities and Engineering companies.- Possess strong communication skills, able to interact with working partners from different nationalities, background and job responsibilities.- Be sensitive to multi-cultural company culture and employees.- Excellent written & verbal English communication skills. German language proficiency will be an advantage.
