The APAC Marketing Associate Director is responsible for leading the APAC Regional Marketing Team in order to build and execute strategy for multiple cross platform market segments and outbound marketing efforts for NanoString commercial products. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Global Regional Marketing, he/she will be responsible for driving the team execution, including regional Distributors, to deploy multi-channel outbound regional marketing programs, events and tradeshows, adapting them to the local customer's needs. This individual will be expected to track key performance indicators related to the region and make recommendations to improve performance as needed. They will also aid in the strategic development of Global outbound marketing programs, as well as the coordinate with the Sales and Distributors channels to overachieve on the financial goals. He/she will work closely with the AMR and EMEA regions and the Global Marketing team to translate business goals into actionable execution plans that drive demand and revenue growth.

**Essential Functions**:

- Development and delivery of strategic and tactical marketing programs and events as well as the development of positional and promotional campaigns using a range of marketing methodologies, formats, and media channels.
- Management of regional marketing managers to dive execution of regional promotional plans and exceed targets for MQL and opportunity generation.
- Management of external strategic marketing partners and vendors in APAC region.
- Partner with Distributors to support training, promotional programs and sales materials.
- Management of APAC digital strategy and expansion of social footprint.
- Development of high value product positioning, effective sales tools, marketing collateral, and, customer-facing presentations.
- Execution of highly quality, high impact tradeshows, user meetings and local seminars.
- Execution of account specific marketing initiatives and programs with Distributor partners, Regional Account Managers and Inside Sales function
- Coordination of new product launches through our direct sales and distribution channels
- Collect and analyze, market intelligence, customer segmentation and marketing data analytics, tackling head-on the challenge of developing cutting-edge marketing for a highly innovative life science leader.

Job Requirements:

- Proven experience in leading efficient marketing teams in APAC (Asia Pacific and China)
- Proven ability of influencing distributors partners - Track record of successful development and execution of marketing programs in the life science and genomics industry
- Proven ability in strategic marketing, setting tactical plans, and tailoring content to different regions
- Experience in delivering end-to-end marketing programs, engaging with the business to ensure smooth planning, consummate execution and accurate measurement of programs Job Responsibilities:

- Lead the APAC Regional Marketing Team to develop and execute on multi-channel outbound marketing programs together with distributors
- Align with other global regions and Global Marketing to develop targeted messaging, marketing collateral and content for APAC based customers and in local language
- Communicate and collaborate regularly with Global Marketing o Develop content and liaise with the marcom team on visual layout for marketing collateral o Leverage the Digital Marketing team to ensure visibility and tracking through electronic marketing channels o Ensure campaigns are tailored for APAC markets o Gather competitive intelligence
- Analyze sales trends to identify opportunities and gaps. Generate standard and ad hoc reports for senior leadership, sales and marketing teams
- Manage lead prospecting efforts for marketing programs, campaigns and events, including Identification of lists, associations and conferences as sources for target customers
- Engage with KOLs to facilitate development of webinars, seminars, blog posts, etc.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree in life science, genomics, business or marketing -related field
- >10 years of marketing experience
- 2 years of experience in leading teams
- Strong understanding of genomics, with NGS and spatial profiling being highly preferred
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English, plus one or more local languages (Chinese or Japanese preferred)
- Must be willing to travel up to 25%
