**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Put together R&D proposals based on identified priority areas such as flood control management, water quality analysis, water treatment and water supply networks that offer a viable path to commercialization
- Serve as Principal Investigator for applied R&D projects that involve sensors & systems as the primary focus of innovation, or otherwise be a member of the research team for allocated projects.
- Manage/support the execution of R&D projects, ensuring budgets and schedules are met.Activities may include optimizing sensor operations via measurement and data analysis; conducting field investigations to collect data on topography, hydrology, and environmental factors, testing water samples to ensure they meet safety standards, monitoring changes in water usage and demand, and data analysis.
- Supervise the work of technicians, engineers, and other professionals working on water projects where necessary
- Serve as a liaison between government agencies, local universities and research institutes, and industry partners on water-related issues.

**WORK**
**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- 3+ years working experience in water resources engineering
- Proficient in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, or other relevant software programs
- Additional experience and/or technical capabilities in related areas would be valuable, such as data analysis
- Independent learning and self-motivated
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Show ability to work cross functionally to collaborate with other technical teams, both inside and outside of Xylem

**EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related field
