**Director, Regional Management Asia-Pacific

The vision of Star Alliance is “to be the leading global alliance for the high value international traveller’’ and the mission of the organisation is “to contribute to the long-term profitability of its members beyond their individual capabilities.” Star Alliance operates a dual headquarters structure; Frankfurt where Corporate Services reside and Singapore where the Centre of Excellence is located, which coordinates the global activities of the alliance including managing joint projects on behalf of its 26 member airlines.
This job opportunity, in the Centre of Excellence, is based in Singapore.
**Job Summary**
- Prepare and provide the essential SAAT workplan for the year, ensuring continuous cooperation and communication among Star Alliance member airlines at a local level, as well as supporting compliance monitoring and improvement in the region
- Lead Star Alliance initiatives whilst also supporting local projects, including but not limited to audits, baggage management, biometrics, lounges, and SCC
- Deliver quarterly detailed reports on the SAAT workplan for Asia Pacific
- Organise monthly/bi-monthly/quarterly individual SAAC conference calls to review meeting minutes, prepare for local SAAT meetings, and discuss local issues
- Conduct annual workshops in Asia Pacific and attend other SAAT meetings to ensure the implementation of local workplan initiatives and that all carriers contribute effectively
- Oversee the introduction of new member airline integrations and coordinate calls with new member airlines, explaining the Star Alliance's role and activities at airports
- Provide an introduction and support for new SAACs, ensuring they are familiar with Star Alliance, airport activities, and the local SAAT Ensure local emergency response exercises, discussions, and process reviews are conducted regularly
**Your Profile**
- A minimum of 10 years of airline experience in an airline / airport management role
- Excellent knowledge of airlines and/or airport operations
- Working experience in the area of 5 years
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Good understanding of financial planning and budget techniques including business case preparation
- Experienced presenter/trainer in larger workshop environments
- Knowledge of latest customer experience trends
- Experience in multicultural environments and in multiple stakeholder management and be able to work with a geographically dispersed team of stakeholders
- High level of proficiency in English is essential, as it is the sole language used for communication with Star Alliance Member Airlines and other external stakeholders
