We are looking for a talented and creative postdoctoral research fellow to support the C4T research team. Primarily, we are looking for an individual dedicated to heterogeneous catalysis, thermochemical reaction engineering with some experience in using advanced in situ and operando characterization techniques to probe the structure of catalyst active sites under working conditions and catalytic mechanisms. The project aims to develop reaction engineering approaches to tackle technical problems associated with the conversion of greenhouse gases, in particular CO2 and methane, to useful chemicals. The research fellow will work closely with computational chemists to understand structural-functional relationships of emerging CO2 and/or methane conversion catalyst and develop new catalyst design rationales.

Key Responsibilities:

- Publish research results in high-quality international peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in the daily running and maintenance of CARES lab.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the experimental apparatus.
- Procure chemicals and consumables.
- Mentor and co-supervise junior researchers.
- Actively seeking opportunities to commercialize any developed IP.

Job Requirements:

- Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, or a relevant field.
- Experience in operating thermal catalytic reactors is required.
- Extensive knowledge in operando and in situ catalyst characterization techniques is desired.
- Good record of peer-reviewed papers is advantageous.
- Scientific articles, proposals and reports writing skill is required.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good English writing and communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork awareness.
- Productive, hard-working and dedicate to the completion of any task assigned.
