Legal Counsel

Lico Resources is partnering with this leading financial institution, searching for an experienced in-house legal counsel to join their existing team in Singapore. This is a 1-year contract position, with the potential to turn permanent.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide legal counsel and guidance on a wide range of legal matters affecting the financial institution
- Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence
- Stay updated on regulatory and legal developments in the financial industry and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess and mitigate legal risks
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support business initiatives and strategic decision-making
- Handle legal disputes and engage external counsel as required
- Assist in the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Law and a valid legal license
- 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience as an in-house legal counsel
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and relevant legislation
- Proven ability to provide strategic legal advice and manage complex legal issues
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
