Business Risk Specialist

As a **Business Risk Specialist**, you'd be able to work on and solve many interesting challenges which we are facing, learn new ways of working, and help build delightful high-quality products for our customers.

This job role will be responsible for performing risk management and governance activities for the Business team.

**The Role Responsibilities**:

- Ensure adherence to the Risk Management Framework in the identification, assessment, mitigation and control and monitoring of operational risk.
- Facilitate effective management of operational risk within defined risk appetite and compliance with internal policies, and external laws and regulations.
- Assist in timely identification, recording and escalation of operational risks and implementation of appropriate controls.
- Implement and execute self-assessment process such as sampling and testing of controls to comply with agreed control standards and facilitate the monitoring/collection of any Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
- Develop, maintain and report relevant data that helps assess control effectiveness.
- Coordinate internal/external audits/reviews and liaise with various stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information is provided.
- Track actions against audits and internal reviews and report the status of these actions periodically to the appropriate governance forums and follow-through to resolution.
- Over 8 years of experience in in first and/or second line operational risk management.
- In-depth understanding of Operational Risk Management for Banking.
- Awareness and understanding of the Retail Banking Products and market environment in which the Bank operates.
- Awareness of new tech platforms.
- Understanding of the local regulatory requirements.
- Able to collaborate with colleagues across the unit / business to ensure continuous improvement in operational risk management to strengthen the control environment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving and ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
- Ability to handle raw and unstructured data.

**Good to have (Optional)**:

- Six Sigma certification (good to have), experience with Ops risk management or process engineering.
- Agile certification.
