Operational Risk Specialist

The Operational Risk Specialist works closely with business units to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks. They integrate risk management into strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Risk Identification and Assessment: Collaborate with the business to identify and assess material risks from business-as-usual activities, emerging risks, and strategic initiatives.
- Risk Appetite: Work proactively with the business to define the Group's risk appetite, including thresholds and key performance indicator (KPI) metrics.
- Strategic Risk Management: Partner with the business to identify, assess, and manage risks that may hinder the achievement of long-term strategic objectives.
- Risk Mitigation and Management: Ensure the business actively and appropriately manages its end-to-end risk profile in a commercially sound manner.
- Risk Monitoring and Reporting: Support the business in monitoring its end-to-end risk profile, ensuring the production of appropriate management information, analysis, and commentary.
- Experience working in an Operational Risk program within a medium to large financial institution, ideally in an IDB or Capital Markets environment.
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field; equivalent experience or a relevant professional certification is also acceptable.
- Solid knowledge of the financial services industry and the regulatory framework in APAC.
