The Legal Counsel assists the Deputy Head of Procurement and Senior Legal Counsel on all contractual issues related to the company's procurement of aircraft, engines, aircraft parts, BFE and other MRO or consultancy services. The job holder will be primarily responsible for reviewing and negotiating terms of contracts, providing support on requests for proposals, general terms agreements, letters of intents and drafting of amendments to lease documentations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with Procurement Managers to negotiate, review and manage Aircraft Purchase Agreements and related engine manufacturer agreements, including all associated commercial incentives.
- Work with Procurement Managers to negotiate, review and manage Vendor Purchase Agreements for the supply of BFE/SFE for new aircraft.
- Work with Technical Department to negotiate and review contracts for services or supplies such as maintenance, repairs and overhauls (MRO), technical consultants, spares suppliers and consignees and general terms with appropriate input from Technical Department.
- Draft amendments to lease documentation on a case by case basis.
- Review letters of intents for lease of aircraft within a 24 hour turnaround timeframe.
- Draft Board and MC papers and closing memos for speculative direct airframe and engine procurement contracts.
- Be in charge of the contract approval process by seeking signoffs from the relevant departments for the signature of major aircraft purchase agreements, engine concession agreements, BFE vendor agreements and contracts from Technical Department.
- Covers the duties of Senior Legal Counsel in her absence.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Law.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years commercial contract experience in a law firm, airlines or aviation OEMs.
- Experience in aviation industry with strong commercial contracts experience preferred.
- Conscientious and a self-starter, capable of independently managing transactions to completion.
- Proficiency in MS Office is a basic requirement.
- Able to travel at short notice to support contract negotiations.
