**ING Trainee Program - Corporate Finance Track**

Wholesale Banking | Starter / Graduates | Singapore

The ING Financial Markets and Corporate Finance Trainee Programme provides you with the opportunity to learn more about ING’s Financial Markets Sales and Trading operations or its Corporate Finance franchise. The aim of this programme is to upskill talent and prepare you for future roles in our organisation.

The programme has a total duration of 18 months and is based in Singapore. During the programme, you will get hands-on experience of what is involved in the day-to-day role of an ING team member. You may also have the opportunity to participate in an induction training in Europe.

**Your Profile**
- Up to 2 years’ work experience in financial services
- At least a Bachelor degree with strong academic record (preferably quantitative)
- Fluent in English (verbal and written), proficiency in a 2nd Asian language is a plus
- Detail oriented, proactive and self-driven
- Collaborative team player with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical capabilities and excellent understanding of financial statement analyses with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations
- Strong knowledge of Excel modelling
- Enjoys taking on challenging tasks, eager to take responsibility and ventures daring proposals and original perspectives
- Able to effectively set goals and priorities

**Corporate Finance Track**

ING Corporate Finance (CF) has a team of over 150 professionals based in offices across Europe, Asia and the US. Our CF team in Asia has presence in Singapore, Manila and Hong Kong with a focus on advising cross-border transactions in the Technology, Media and Telecom (“TMT”), Utilities, Power & Renewables (“UP&R”) and Financial Institution (“FI”) sectors.

**What’s in it for you?**

During the programme, you will:

- Support origination initiatives by working closely with colleagues within the CF team and from Sectors and Strategic Products teams on pitchbook materials for M&A, fund raising, Independent Financial Advisory (“IFA”) and valuation advisory mandates
- Support execution for CF projects / mandates
- Gather and analyse information on relevant companies, sectors and sub-sectors
- Perform valuation and financial analysis
- Draft presentation and marketing materials, as well as process documentation
- Coordinate data room processes, administer Q&A logistics and follow up
- Liaise with client representatives to gather and organize information used in the execution of transactions
- Maintain database of CF marketing materials and best practice templates
