**ING Trainee Program - Financial Markets Track**

The ING Financial Markets and Corporate Finance Trainee Programme provides you with the opportunity to learn more about ING’s Financial Markets Sales and Trading operations or its Corporate Finance franchise. The aim of this programme is to upskill talent and prepare you for future roles in our organisation.

The programme has a total duration of 18 months and is based in Singapore. During the programme, you will get hands-on experience of what is involved in the day-to-day role of an ING team member. You may also have the opportunity to participate in an induction training in Europe.

**Your Profile**
- Up to 2 years’ work experience in financial services
- At least a Bachelor degree with strong academic record (preferably quantitative)
- Fluent in English (verbal and written), proficiency in a 2nd Asian language is a plus
- Detail oriented, proactive and self-driven
- Collaborative team player with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical capabilities and excellent understanding of financial statement analyses with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations
- Strong knowledge of Excel modelling
- Enjoys taking on challenging tasks, eager to take responsibility and ventures daring proposals and original perspectives
- Able to effectively set goals and priorities

**Financial Markets Track**

Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services, and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in the markets we operate, with specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

Within FM our business runs across both Sales and Trading. The programme offers you the possibility to rotate across our franchise, across different teams.

**What is FM Sales?**

Global Sales provides both flow and highly bespoke financial solutions to clients. The Global Sales organization is structured to reflect the differing needs of our client portfolio. The Corporate team services the corporate Wholesale Banking clients in 6 sectors and the Institutional Sales team services the 7th sector: Financial Institutions

Rotation areas within FM Sales:

- Corporate and Financial Institutions Origination Sales
- Multi-asset sales: Credit, Rates, FX
- Client Solutions Group
- Product experts: Equity Derivatives, Commodities, Rates, FX
- Distribution Sales
- Balance sheet optimization: Loans and Structured Loans

**What is FM Trading?**

FM Trading manages risk and covers flow for our client portfolio by interacting closely with the sales desk and other market participants. Trading manages portfolio risk out of new, existing and daily market risks, within the set risk parameters.

Rotation areas FM Trading:

- FX Desk
- Interest Rates Desk
- Global Securities Finance Desk
- Credit and Sovereigns Desk
- Commodities Desk

During the programme, you will learn different skills across your rotations:

- Develop an understanding of different asset classes and product we offer within FM
- Learn how the solutions we offer differ depending on client type and needs
- Work closely, not only with clients and sales colleagues, but also with trading, sector teams and risk officers
- Research to ensure we deliver the best service and solutions to our clients
- Keep up to date with market events and learn how to formulate views
- Bring ideas to the table on how we can create solutions that meet client needs
