**Role Summary**

We're seeking a Tech Lead dedicated to enhancing the Almond Development Team experience. As a Tech Lead in our Engineering team, you will focus on crafting high-quality and resilient solutions while upholding coding standards, code quality, and best engineering practices. Experience working with cryptocurrency is essential as our projects involve crypto technology. This role will help develop robust and scalable solutions that integrate with various crypto platforms in order to gather real -time data and analyze market trends. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other team members to ensure the reliability and accuracy of financial forecasts and projections. This role will cater to a growing international customer base, adeptly conveying technical trade-offs, complexities, and design options while working as part of a remote team spanning the globe

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and review code using Java, Spring, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQS, and AWS
- Architect, design, and develop projects from end to end
- Guide teams in decision-making regarding architecture, patterns, tools, frameworks, and languages
- Stay current with emerging technologies through active learning and experimentation with new open-source libraries
- Develop a strong understanding of key agile engineering practices to guide teams and contribute to the growth and improvement of our engineering practices, building on our automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices
- Collaborate with other engineers to prioritize and ship features
- Partner with Product Managers to scope and estimate new work
- Troubleshoot production environment issues
- Work with systems deployed on AWS cloud

**Requirements**:

- 6+ years of experience in software development using Java, Spring, and related technologies
- Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Technology Lead or a similar role
- Proficient in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and other database technologies, including NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB
- Experience with AWS services and cloud deployment
- Prior experience working with cryptocurrency and related technologies
- Knowledge of blockchain concepts and protocols
- Experience integrating cryptocurrency payment gateways or wallets
- Understanding of cryptographic principles and security measures in software development
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working in a remote, globally distributed team

**Nice to Haves**:

- Knowledge of Frontend Technologies: While primarily backend-focused, having a solid understanding of frontend technologies like React, Angular, or Vue.js can be beneficial.
- Previous Startup Experience: Familiarity with the fast-paced, dynamic environment of startups, where adaptability and quick decision-making are essential.
- Experience with Legacy System Modernization: Ability to upgrade or integrate legacy systems with modern technologies without disrupting existing services.
- Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges and find efficient, innovative solutions.
- Familiarity with Data Engineering: Understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, and big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
