Senior Manager, Protection and Health Products, Asia Pacific

Allianz asia Pacific is a diverse market with a strong focus on growing health and protection business. Regulations and market situations continuously evolve - this role is required to understand and anticipate change and act in a way that allows us to stay ahead of the game

This role is open for secondment from regional operating entities or other Allianz entities or external hire.

**What you do** You will:

- Guide the region in Health and protection product development
- Actively search for ways to continuously improve our Health and Protection product offering for our customers - anticipate change so that we remain state of the art in our markets, but also close potential gaps that we might have
- Ensure that the Health and protection product portfolio is well positioned to meet volume and margin targets across all distribution channels
- Ensure technical excellence in Health and Protection business in collaboration with other relevant functions
- Coordinate and balance interests of various stakeholders

**What you bring**
- Deep understanding of Health and Protection insurance products - both in terms of customer propositions and technical details.
- 10+ years experience in relvant insurance/ reinsurance companies, deep experience in product development, ideally with a technical background (actuarial/risk)
- Experience in engaging, building relationships and managing difficult conversations for business problem solving with internal C-suite executives.
- Deep understanding of levers of profitability, technical excellence and balance between commercial sense, risk, simplification, technology and consumer needs.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Hands-on attitude and initiative are crucial.
- Bachelor or Master Degree
- Actuarial experience on the product side and/or actuarial qualifications
